What We Do

Merchandising services tailored to your scope and schedule

From a single center-store reset to a multi-state new-store rollout, MSCO plans, executes, and verifies the work with our cross-trained internal teams — not a rotating cast of subcontractors. Below is the full scope of what we do, how we do it, and who we do it for.

“Success in Collaboration.”

MSCO Operating Principle

MSCO understands that every client is unique, with different expectations, categories, and store formats. We collaborate closely with manufacturers, vendors, and retailers to develop custom, flexible solutions built to solve specific needs and maximize results — not a one-size-fits-all program forced onto your stores.

Our core model — Planning, Execution, and Accountability — streamlines the reset process so it runs quickly, thoroughly, and efficiently, whether it’s a single-category reset or a multi-state rollout. Our solid in-store execution, attention to detail, and store-by-store visibility give clients the timely results their business needs, and the documentation to prove it.

Multiple Project Scopes executed by cross-trained MSCO employees

Each service below can run on its own or as part of a larger program — scoped, staffed, and reported the same way every time.

01 / RESETS

Center Store Resets

Resets are how center store category growth actually happens year over year. We realign the category to its current plan-o-gram — discontinued items pulled, new items cut in, best sellers moved to eye level — store by store, with photo verification so you know it was completed correctly the first time.
02 / RESETS

Beverage Resets

The cold vault is one of the biggest sales drivers in a convenience store — and one of the least forgiving categories to get wrong. We work directly with the category manager and space planner so every manufacturer is represented fairly and accurately, then execute the plan door by door.
03 / RESETS

Tobacco Resets

Constant changes in FDA and state regulations around tobacco and e-cigarette products make resets and refreshes just as critical as any other convenience store category — and far less forgiving of a mistake. Our reps are trained specifically on age-restricted category compliance, so your set stays audit-ready.
04 / BUILD-OUT

New Store Setup & Remodels

New Store Setup & Remodels As retailers expand with NTI (New To Industry) sites, a gap opens between construction and grand opening — gondola build, cooler shelving, and perimeter fixtures typically fall outside the general contractor’s scope. MSCO closes that gap, working directly from the retailer’s floor plans and blueprints.
05 / LOGISTICS

Fixture Installations

Riser and extension kits, queuing lanes, endcaps, private brand fixtures, back stock racks, tobacco back bars — and the list keeps growing. Fixture work is our fastest-expanding capability, now reaching into beer caves, walk-in cooler shelving systems, and electronic shelf labels.
06 / DATA

Survey & Data Collection

Before you commit a program to 500 stores, you need to know what’s actually on the shelf in the first 50. Our field teams collect store-level audit, distribution, and compliance data so decisions are made on real conditions, not assumptions.

Where most programs fall apart, and how ours doesn't

Every engagement follows the same seven-step cycle, regardless of category or store count — so nothing gets lost between planning and the shelf.

STEP 01

Planning Meetings

We align on scope, plan-o-gram, timeline, and store list before a single rep is scheduled.
STEP 02

Surveying All Stores

Field teams confirm current conditions store by store so execution plans match reality.
STEP 03

Verification of POGs Prior to Start

We align on scope, plan-o-gram, timeline, and store list before a single rep is scheduled.
STEP 04

Execution, Store by Store

Trained MSCO employees execute the reset, install, or build-out to spec, on schedule.
STEP 05

By-Store Visual & Written Recaps

Every store gets a photo and written recap, so you have proof of completion, not just a status update.
STEP 06

Review of Project & Key Learnings

We debrief what worked, what didn’t, and what to adjust before the next cycle.
STEP 07

Begin Planning for Next Year

Programs feed forward — we start scoping the next cycle while this one’s still fresh.
THROUGHOUT

Communication at Every Stage

A single point of contact keeps you informed from the first planning call to the final recap.
Growing Capability

Fixture installation, expanded

Fixture work is one of our fastest-growing service lines. Beyond standard gondola and shelving installs, our crews are equipped for:
01

Beer Caves

Walk-in beer cave build-outs and shelving systems installed to spec.
02

Walk-In Cooler Shelving

Full cooler shelving systems for cold vault categories, store by store.
03

Electronic Shelf Labels

ESL deployment and integration across large-format and c-store footprints.

04

Checkout & Queue Lines

Front-end queue line builds and checkout fixture installation.

Manufacturer, vendor, retailer — often on the same program

MSCO customers represent a diverse balance of consumer goods manufacturers, vendors, and retailers, each with a different reason for being in the same store.
Manufacturers

Consumer Goods Manufacturers

Get new items and promotional programs onto the shelf on schedule, with store-level proof it happened, across every chain you sell into.
Vendors

Distributors & Vendors

Extend your reach with a merchandising partner who executes to your standards without adding headcount to your own team.
Retailers

Retail Chains & Franchise Groups

One accountable team across every store in your footprint, so program execution doesn’t vary location to location.
